The Terminal Details tab is the first tab you see when you open a terminal's profile. It shows the core information for that device and allows you to update its name, status, location, and network settings.
How to Access
Go to Settings → Devices → Device Profiles.
Click on the terminal you want to view.
The Terminal Details tab is selected by default.
The Terminal Header
At the top of every terminal profile you'll find a summary card showing:
Terminal Name — The display name of the device.
Model — The hardware model (e.g. M400).
Cloud Connection — A Check Connection button that tests whether the terminal is communicating with the WIZniche platform in real time.
Location — Which location this terminal is assigned to.
Serial Number — The unique identifier assigned to this device by Adyen.
Terminal Information
On the left side of the Terminal Details tab:
Terminal Name — Edit the display name shown in the terminals list.
Model — The device model. This is informational and set during registration.
Serial Number — The device's unique serial number.
Status — Set to Online or Boarded. Online means the terminal is active and accepting payments. Boarded means it's registered but not yet connected.
Location Details
On the right side of the Terminal Details tab:
Location — Shows which location this terminal is currently assigned to. Click the dropdown to move this terminal to a different location. When you change the location here, WIZniche updates it in the backend with Adyen automatically — the terminal will process payments against the newly selected location.
Note: A terminal defaults to the location it was under when you ordered it. You can switch it to any other location at any time from this dropdown.
Network Setup
IP Address — The local network IP address of the terminal. For most setups this is left blank as WIZniche handles connectivity automatically. Only required for specific wired or static IP configurations.
MAC Address — The hardware MAC address of the terminal. Optional for most setups.
