Understanding Your Device Profiles

How to view and manage all your registered terminals in WIZniche POS Device Profiles — including terminal statuses, the terminals list, and creating a terminal manually.

Device Profiles is where all your registered terminals live. Every terminal you order through WIZniche is automatically added here once the order is placed — you don't need to manually add it. Each terminal has its own profile page with five tabs covering details, transactions, passcodes, customization, and hardware settings.

How to Access

  1. Click Settings in the left sidebar.

  2. Under the Devices section, click Device Profiles.

Breadcrumb: Home › Settings › Terminals

The Terminals List

Each row in the list represents one registered terminal and shows:

  • Terminal Name — The display name assigned to the device.

  • Model — The hardware model (e.g. M400).

  • Serial Number — The unique serial number assigned by Adyen.

  • Location — Which location this terminal is assigned to.

  • Status — The current connectivity state:

    • Online (green dot) — The terminal is connected and ready to process payments.

    • Boarded (grey dot) — The terminal is registered in WIZniche but has not yet connected to your network. This is the status from the moment you order until the terminal physically connects to your Wi-Fi for the first time.

Use the Search terminals bar to find a specific device by name or serial number.

Creating a Terminal Manually

If you need to register a terminal that wasn't ordered through the WIZniche hardware store, click Create Terminal and fill in the Terminal Details form:

  • Terminal Name — A display name for the device.

  • Model — The hardware model.

  • Serial Number — The unique serial number from the device.

  • Status — Set the initial status (Online or Boarded).

  • Location Information — Assign the terminal to a location. Defaults to the location you're currently operating under.

  • Network Setup — IP Address and MAC Address (optional for most setups).

  • Preferred Language — The language displayed on the terminal.

Click Save to register the terminal.

Opening a Terminal Profile

Click on any terminal in the list to open its full Terminal Profile. The profile header shows a summary of the terminal — name, model, serial number, location, and a Check Connection button to verify cloud connectivity. Five tabs give you access to all settings for that device.

→ See the individual articles for each tab: Terminal Details, Terminal Transactions, Terminal Passcodes, Terminal Customization, and Terminal Hardware Settings.
