Reading a Transaction Receipt (Items, Totals, Payment Method)

How to read every section of a transaction receipt in WIZniche POS — items, totals, and payment method.

The Transaction Detail panel functions as a digital receipt — showing exactly what was sold, what was paid, and how. Knowing how to read it helps you quickly answer customer questions and verify transaction accuracy.

Header Information

At the top of the panel:

  • Amount and Type — e.g. "$21,000.00 Payment"

  • Date and Time — e.g. "June 4th 2026, 6:40 pm"

  • Collected at — The business or location name where the sale took place

  • Order Source — Where the order originated (e.g. Virtual POS)

  • Sale attributed to — The team member or customer associated with the sale, blank if made by the owner account.

  • Paid by — The customer who made the payment

Items Section

Below the header, each item sold is listed with:

  • Item name (and variation, if applicable)

  • Quantity sold (e.g. "x1", "x4")

  • Total amount for that line

Totals Section

  • Total — The full transaction amount

  • Payment Method breakdown — Shows the amount collected via each method used (e.g. Cash: $21,000.00)

Receipt Reference

Below the totals, a Receipt # (e.g. "Receipt #TX-9739") lets you reconcile this number with your customers as a reference.
