Enabling Inventory Tracking on an Item

How to enable inventory tracking on an item in WIZniche POS and what changes once it's active.

Inventory tracking tells WIZniche POS to monitor stock levels for an item — automatically reducing the count when sold and alerting you when supply runs low. You enable it per item.

How to Enable Inventory Tracking

  1. Open the item (or create a new one).

  2. Find the Track Inventory toggle in the inventory section.

  3. Toggle it ON.

  4. Enter the Current Stock Quantity — your starting stock count.

  5. Optionally set a Low Stock Alert threshold.

  6. Click Save.

What Changes Once Tracking Is Enabled

  • The Stock column in the Item Library shows a live count.

  • Each sale automatically deducts from the count.

  • Refunds can trigger a Pending Restock for you to action.

  • The item's inventory history starts recording all stock movements.

Disabling Tracking

To stop tracking stock on an item, toggle Track Inventory OFF. Historical stock data is preserved but no new movements will be recorded. The Stock column will revert to N/A.
