The Business tab under Security settings controls how your POS register is protected and how your team's access is managed. This includes requiring a passcode for sales transactions, setting a session timeout, and configuring team-wide permissions.
How to Access
Click Settings at the bottom of the left sidebar.
Under the Business section, click Security.
Click the Business tab at the top of the Security page.

Require a Passcode for POS Sale Transaction
This toggle, when enabled, requires a team member to enter a passcode before completing a sale at the POS register. This is useful for preventing unauthorised transactions if the register is left unattended.
Toggle OFF (default) — No passcode required to complete a sale.
Toggle ON — A passcode must be entered before each transaction can be processed.
POS Timeout Session
When the passcode toggle is turned ON, a POS Timeout Session dropdown appears. This controls how long the register can sit idle before it locks and requires the passcode to be entered again.
Available timeout options:
None — The register never auto-locks (passcode required per transaction only).
15 seconds
30 seconds
1 minute
2 minutes
5 minutes
10 minutes
Shorter timeouts are recommended for busy or shared registers where multiple team members process sales.
Team Permissions
The Team Permissions section allows you to set restrictions for team members across your entire account. These permissions apply to all access points — the shared POS, mobile POS, and dashboard.
The section displays:
Access — The current access points enabled for your team members: Shared points of sale, Dashboard.
Team Passcode — A 4-digit passcode your team members use to access the POS register. Enter or update the code using the 4-digit input boxes.
Click Edit Permissions to open the full permissions editor where you can configure exactly what each team role can and cannot access or perform across the platform.
