Understanding the Onboarding Checklist

What the 4-step onboarding checklist means on your WIZniche POS dashboard and how to complete each step.

When you log in for the first time, WIZniche POS displays a Getting Set Up checklist at the top of your dashboard. This checklist walks you through the four essential steps to get your account fully operational and ready to start taking payments.

The checklist shows your progress — for example 2/4 — so you always know what's done and what's still outstanding. You can collapse it at any time by clicking Hide, and it will reappear until all steps are complete.


Step 1: Setup Your Business Profile

This step is completed during registration. It covers your business name, industry, address, contact details, and timezone. If you need to update any of these details later, go to Settings → Business Profile.


Step 2: Get Approved to Start Taking Payments

To accept card payments through WIZniche POS, you need to complete payment onboarding — this is the process of verifying your business identity and linking a bank account for payouts.

Click Start on this step and you'll be guided through:

  • Selecting your ownership type (Business, Sole Proprietorship, or Individual)

  • Providing company details and decision-maker information

  • Entering your bank account for payouts

  • Signing the services agreement and completing PCI DSS compliance

  • Uploading required documents (tax documents, proof of address)

Approval typically takes 1–2 business days. Once approved, you'll be able to collect card payments immediately.


Step 3: Create an Item

This step encourages you to add your first product or service to the Item Library. Items are what you sell through the register, invoices, and payment links. Once you've added at least one item, this step is marked complete.

You can add items at any time from Items in the left sidebar, or by clicking Add Item in the quick action bar at the top of the dashboard.


Step 4: Order Your Hardware

If you plan to take in-person card payments using a physical terminal, this step takes you to the WIZniche hardware store where you can browse and purchase compatible card readers and POS devices.

Click Start to view available hardware. You can add multiple devices to your cart and check out directly. Your order history and device profiles will be available under Settings → Devices once your hardware arrives.

If you plan to use the Virtual POS only (no physical hardware), you can skip this step.


Hiding the Checklist

Once you're familiar with the platform, you can click Hide in the top-right corner of the checklist to collapse it. The checklist will disappear from your dashboard once all four steps are marked complete.
