Customer Credit / Balance Tab

What the Customer Credit / Balance tab shows in WIZniche POS — account credit, outstanding balance, and how credits are applied to transactions.

The Credit / Balance tab on a customer profile shows any account credit or balance associated with that customer — such as prepaid amounts, overpayments that were credited back, or store credit issued after a refund.

How to Access

  1. Click Customers in the left sidebar.

  2. Open the customer profile.

  3. Click the Credit / Balance tab.

What the Tab Shows

  • Current Balance — The total credit currently on account for this customer.

  • Balance History — A log of every credit addition and deduction, including the date, amount, and reason for each movement.

  • Outstanding Balance — Any amount owed by the customer to your business (unpaid invoices or account balance due).

How Credits Are Applied

When a customer with a credit balance is added to an invoice or transaction, WIZniche POS can automatically apply the available credit toward the amount due — reducing what the customer needs to pay. The credit is deducted from their balance when applied.

Adding or Adjusting Credit

Credit can be added to a customer's balance through:

  • Refunds processed as store credit rather than returning to the original payment method

  • Overpayments on invoices that are credited back to the account

  • Manual credit adjustments made by an admin from this tab
