Surcharges allow you to pass payment processing fees directly on to the customer for Credit Card and ACH transactions. When enabled, the surcharge percentage is added to the customer's total at checkout.
⚠️ Please Note: Adding a surcharge to a client may not be permitted in all states. By enabling this feature, you acknowledge and agree that you are solely responsible for ensuring that any payment of surcharge complies with applicable laws. WIZniche does not provide legal service. Review applicable laws before enabling.
How to Access
Click Settings in the left sidebar.
Under the Payment section, click Surcharges.

Credit Card Surcharge
The Credit Card toggle enables a surcharge on all credit and debit card transactions processed through WIZniche POS.
Toggle Credit Card to the ON position (blue).
The Credit Card Percentage Fee field will become active — enter the percentage you want to pass on to the customer (e.g. 3%).
This surcharge will be automatically applied to all card transactions going forward.
When the toggle is OFF, no surcharge is applied to card payments and the percentage fee field is inactive.
ACH Surcharge
The ACH toggle enables a surcharge on all ACH bank transfer payments processed through WIZniche POS.
Toggle ACH to the ON position (blue).
The ACH Percentage Fee field will become active — enter the percentage to pass on to the customer.
This surcharge will be automatically applied to all ACH transactions going forward.
When the toggle is OFF, no surcharge is applied to ACH payments.
How Surcharges Appear to Customers
When a surcharge is enabled, it appears as a separate line item on the customer's checkout screen, payment link, and receipt — clearly labelled so they can see the fee before completing payment.
