Manually Entering a Card

How to manually enter a customer's card details in the WIZniche POS Virtual Terminal for phone and card-not-present payments.

Manually entering a card allows you to take payment over the phone or for any card-not-present situation — the customer reads you their card details and you enter them directly into the Virtual Terminal.

How to Manually Enter a Card

  1. In the Payment Details section, click Manually enter card to expand it.

  2. The card entry form appears with fields for card number, expiry date, and CVC.

  3. Enter the customer's card details.

  4. Click Charge in the top bar to process the payment.

Surcharge Toggle

Within the Manually Enter Card section, a Surcharge toggle is available. If you have credit card surcharges configured in Settings → Surcharges, you can toggle this on to add the surcharge to this transaction. The surcharge amount is shown as a separate line item in the Transaction Details when enabled.

Security Note

Card details entered through the Virtual Terminal are processed securely through WIZniche's 3rd Party Payment Processor and are never stored on WIZniche's servers. The Virtual Terminal is PCI DSS compliant for card-not-present transactions.
