The Virtual Terminal Settings page lets you configure exactly how the Virtual Terminal behaves — which payment methods are available, whether service charges and tips are collected, how sales tax is handled, and what tip percentages are offered to customers.
Changes made here apply to all transactions processed through the Virtual Terminal.
How to Access
Click Settings in the left sidebar.
Under the Payment section, click Virtual Terminal.

Payment Methods
Toggle each payment method on or off to control which options are available when processing a Virtual Terminal transaction. All methods are enabled by default.
Manually Enter Card — Allows card details to be typed in manually (card-not-present).
Terminal — Allows a connected physical card reader to be used for the transaction.
Record Cash Payment — Allows cash payments to be manually recorded.
Record Other Payment — Allows other payment types (e.g. check) to be manually recorded.
Send Payment Link — Allows a payment link to be sent to the customer from the Virtual Terminal.
ACH Payment — Allows ACH bank transfer payments to be processed.
Disabling a method removes it from the payment options screen in the Virtual Terminal. Re-enabling it makes it available again immediately.
Service Charges
Allow service charges — When enabled (default), service charges can be added to Virtual Terminal transactions. Toggle this off to prevent service charges from appearing as an option during checkout.
Tipping
Collect tips — When enabled, customers are prompted to add a tip during the Virtual Terminal checkout flow. Toggle off to remove the tipping step entirely.
Sales Tax
Collect sales tax — Toggle on to apply sales tax to Virtual Terminal transactions. When off (default), no sales tax is collected through the Virtual Terminal.
Tipping Percentage Amounts
When tipping is enabled, customers are shown up to three preset tip percentage options to choose from. Configure these here:
Amount 1 — e.g. 10%
Amount 2 — e.g. 15%
Amount 3 — e.g. 25%
Enter the percentage values that best suit your business. Customers will see these as quick-select options, with the ability to enter a custom amount as well.
Saving Your Settings
Click the blue Save button in the bottom-right corner after making any changes. Settings take effect immediately for all subsequent Virtual Terminal transactions.
