The Virtual Terminal Settings page controls which payment methods are available, whether service charges and tips are collected, sales tax behavior, and the tip percentage presets shown during checkout.
How to Access
Click the settings icon (⚙) in the top-left of the Virtual Terminal screen — it links directly here.
Payment Methods
Toggle each payment method on (blue) or off to control what appears in the Virtual Terminal. All methods are on by default:
Manually Enter Card
Terminal
Record Cash Payment
Record Other Payment
Send Payment Link
ACH Payment
Service Charges
Allow service charges — When ON, the "Add shipping fee or service charge" link appears in the Virtual Terminal. Toggle OFF to remove it.
Tipping
Collect tips — When ON, the "Add tip" link appears in the Virtual Terminal. Toggle OFF to remove tipping entirely.
Sales Tax
Collect sales tax — When ON, tax is automatically applied in the Virtual Terminal based on your configured tax rates. Toggle OFF if you do not want to collect tax through the Virtual Terminal.
Tipping Percentage Amounts
Set the three tip percentage presets customers see when the tip modal opens:
Amount 1 — e.g. 10%
Amount 2 — e.g. 15%
Amount 3 — e.g. 25%
Customers can also enter a Custom Amount regardless of what presets are set.
Saving
Click Save in the bottom-right corner after making any changes. Settings take effect immediately for all subsequent Virtual Terminal transactions.
