Service charges — things like credit card surcharges, shipping fees, or other add-ons — can be applied to a sale directly from the Register.
How to Apply a Service Charge
Click Service Charges from the Register home screen.
The Apply Service Charge window opens, listing your saved service charges.
Use the search field to find one by name if the list is long.
Select the radio button next to the charge you want.
Click Add.
Service Charge Types
Fixed percentage (e.g. 5.00%)
Fixed amount (e.g. $1,000.00)
Variable amount — enter a custom dollar figure at the time of applying.
Managing Your Service Charges
Service charges are created and managed from the items section of Dashboard. You cannot create a new one from the Register — only apply existing ones.
